Avax Bridge — Secure Cross-Chain Bridge for Avalanche
Avax Bridge makes it simple to transfer assets between Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Avalanche (AVAX) with minimal fees and maximum security.
Avax Bridge is a cross-chain bridge developed by Ava Labs. It allows users to transfer tokens between Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Avalanche networks in a few clicks. Transactions are secured by audited smart contracts and institutional-grade custody infrastructure. Simply connect your Core wallet, select the source and destination network, enter the amount, and confirm — Avax Bridge handles the rest.
Avax Bridge currently supports Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Avalanche (AVAX). Bridging between these networks is seamless. You can move wrapped BTC onto Avalanche, bridge ETH-based tokens to AVAX C-Chain, and more. Support for additional networks may be added as the Avalanche ecosystem grows.
Avax Bridge is built and maintained by Ava Labs with a strong focus on security. Smart contracts are independently audited, and the bridge uses a trusted validator network. Users retain control of their private keys throughout the process. As with any DeFi protocol, always verify you are using the official site and never share your seed phrase.
Transfer times on Avax Bridge vary by network. Avalanche-to-Ethereum transfers typically complete within 15–20 minutes. Bitcoin transfers may take longer due to Bitcoin's block confirmation times. During periods of high network congestion, transfers may take additional time. You can track the status of your transaction in the Bridge interface.
Avax Bridge charges minimal bridging fees. The total cost depends on the source network gas fees, the destination network fees, and any small bridge protocol fee. Ethereum bridging tends to have higher gas costs than Avalanche-native transactions. Exact fee estimates are shown before you confirm any transaction in the Avax Bridge interface.
